The Singapore Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC) presented Galmon with the bizSAFE Enterprise Exemplary Award (Gold) in recognition of the company’s excellent risk management and WSH performance over the years.
Galmon embarked on the bizSAFE journey in 2010 to benchmark the company’s safety processes to the national standard. Since joining the programme, Galmon has made small and steady improvements to WSH processes, policies and work environment. These enhancements do not only come from top management; Galmon’s staff also actively champion positive changes.
As a testament to this bottom-up approach, one of Galmon’s employees – Sandy Tan – was presented with the bizSAFE Champion Award for her contributions towards improving the health and safety of her co-workers. Another member of Galmon’s staff was also recognised with the inaugural Champion award in 2015.
Looking ahead, Galmon will continue to deepen its safety culture and refine workplace procedures. The company is also expanding its focus to enhance the health and well-being of its employees through fitness programmes and family days, at the same time incentivising its employees to stay active and healthy.
